TERRA provided award-winning site development services for the multi-phase expansion of Rush University’s Medical Center in Chicago. The expansion project included an addition to the existing hospital, a new Orthopedic Office Building, a new park, a new central plant and new parking structure. TERRA’s scope included preparation of construction documents, permitting stormwater detention and sewer design with the Chicago Department of Water Management and permitting right-of-way improvements with the Chicago Department of Transportation.

In addition to the Medical Center, TERRA provided ADA improvements to Harrison Street, Ashland Avenue, Polk Street, Paulina Street and Congress Parkway. This project received the American Institute of Architects Chicago’s (AIA) Distinguished Building Award and the American Society of Civil Engineers Illinois Section’s (ASCE-IL) Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award.
